Wood Plus Interiors Limited was established in 1987 by John Brownlee who has been in this trade since 1969. The goal was to manufacture and/or design unique household and commercial cabinetry that would fit the specific needs of clients.
The decision was made to stay a true hands on cabinetmaking factory rather than producing in mass for the modular market. We produce bespoke or custom made furniture items and many one off designs for your furniture requirements be it in the home or workplace.
Wood Plus Interiors quickly developed a reputation for being able to deliver quality products which were solidly built and would last. Each of our tradesman cabinetmakers is proud to produce the top quality craftsmanship our clients expect and can manufacture anything from a laundry cupboard, vanity or entertainment unit to an architecturally designed kitchen as well as commercial fitouts for shops and kiosks, desks, screens, in fact anything you can dream.
During the last 30 years, Wood Plus Interiors has worked with designers to create an outstanding array of shop fit-outs. Some of the projects were; Christchurch International Airport Departure Lounge Food Court, Poppy Thai in Westfields Mall, Fibre Hair and Beauty in Northlands Mall, Sushi Express Kiosks, Maki Mono Kiosks, Illy Coffee Kiosks, Acquisitions, Silver Moon, Icell in Northlands Mall, Hanmer Bakery.
Today, Wood Plus Interiors continues to grow as a specialised, independently owned cabinetry company that provides innovative furniture products and/or designs for its clients. All our workmanship is guaranteed right through to our installation and beyond.
John Brownlee continues to lead the company as Managing Director with a small and dedicated team of qualified tradesmen who produce a quality product.
